On Sunday the congregation of St. Mary's Church will celebrate the G2ud anniversary of the appointment of the first clergyman to Tarauaki. There will be special festival services as advertised, and in the afternoon 11 service for men only at 3 o'clock. It will be a day for all Church of England people to be in their places in the parish church, The Hey. H. A. Favel) will be the preacher for the day. Among the good things usually to be found in the larder of any home at the Xmas season is a nice, tasty, wellcured liaiu. Usually it is not an easy matter to procure a good linm, but for this season Mr C. Carter, of " The Peoples' Grocery Store," has secured a large stock of beauties. Call in and see for yourselves. Prices are just right.
