A Statue to Robert Burns.
(ltcccivcd Jnn. 30, 11.23 pm ) SYDNEY, Jan. 30. Half a gale with frequent heavy showers spoiled the holiday. In the presence of many thousands, in a drenching rain, the Governor . unveiled in the I)oma?n, a bronze statue on a granite plinth, of Kobert Hums. The figure represents the poet as standing beside the plough, and cost £I6OO, which ;was collected through tho Scottish Societies.
