Warea.
(From Our Correspondent.) The Warea Cricket Club opened the season to Oct. 22, when a match was played between two teams selected by the captain Mid vice captain. As is often the case early in th» season no very good form was -show*. Thli vice-captain's side won on the first innings,. The match was played in Mi* Brophy's pajdidock, Mr Brouphy having generously allowed the c'ub free use of tho grounds. Mrs Brophy provided an excellent lunch- After the match cheers were given for Mr and Mrs Brophy and Mr Brophy was made an honorary member. In the evening an impromptu smoke concert was held which finished up a very enjiyaiblc day, even tho weather having cleared up. for this event. Several new members wero elected. The first match of the season will be against Okiato.
