FEB TBKBB ABSOOIATIOW. London, September 2. Mr A. Holbein made another unsuc eessful attempt to swim from. Dover to Calais. He was immersed 17 hours 20 minntee, and got within four miles of the Trench coast, when an adverse current carried him back four miles, rendering the straggle hopeless. The water was smooth and warm.
