Ths Taranaki Flying Olub hold their Derby race from Martou (100 miles) on G;od F<iday, 38 birds competing, rep.f6eoting seven lifts. The wind being favourable fast tim 3 were put up. The wiiin-r did the distacci in gwo hours. Resultm—T. Francis' Cinderella, 1; Geo. Braund'n Tiie is, 2; W, Way's Deatroyer, 3; J. Lister's Rosebud, 4. The winner takes a handsome barometer, and the second tird takes a glass-mounted c»ke stand, and the others ca<h priz is. The above trophies were kindly donated by Messrs Henrickson and Chilcott, of New Plymouth.
