South African Hunter’s Activities.

The title of South Africa's champion leopard killer is claimed by Mr Cornelius Le Roux, of Tweeheuwels, Slanghoek District, Worchester, Cape Province. He has. now killed his. fortieth leoparfl. His first he “bagged" in 1903. Since then he has hunted leopards at every opportunity. Thirty-eight of those he has killed Mr Le Roux stalked in the Slanghoek valley, which they infest. Mr Le Roux maintains that leop ards are a greater source of loss to stock farmers than jackals. Leopards kill for blood only, he maintains, and in one night they -can wipe out as many as 44 sheep.
