Hastings, March 15, Notification of three positive eases of infantile paralysis anil of one sbsprtterl case caused schools at Hastings and in the immediately surrounding districts to be closed from to-day until Tuesday, March 30. Of the four cases two are from Hastings, on e from Havelock North, and one from Whakatu. AU four are children not yet of school age. A seven-year-old girl, who was admitted 'to the Oamaru hospital on Friday, died yesterday from infantile
paralysis. This is the second fatal case in the district since the begin ning of the epidemic. A further case of infantile paralysis from Timaru, a njan aged I:’, years, was notified to-day. Schools in the Waimate district are to remain closed oyer Easter,
