Borough Council Defeat Power Board. In a friendly match at the Week-end the Stratford Borough Council defeated the Taranaki Electric Power Board by a margin of 230 runs. S.T.H.S. Beat Manaia. Stratford Technical High School had an easy win over Maiiaia. The southern team won the toss and put School in. 'Stratford made 134, chief scorers being Anderson 37, Ryburn 21 and Gawith 44. Bowling for Manaia, Duncan took four wickets for 33 runs and Longman three for 21. Manaia’s batting totalled only 54, England with 14 and F. A. Fahy with 12, being chief scorers. For School, Anderson took five wickets for 18 and Ryburn three for 34. School won by SO runs on the first innings.
