Recent callers at New Zealand House in London included Mies Daphne Mann, of Stratford. * * * On Tuetday night Miss C. Uniacke entertained some friends at bridge. Those present were: Mrs Spence, Mrs Lyons. Wellington; the Misses J. Bremner, M. Malone, M. Lyons. 8., Z-, and O. Matters, M. Whittle. Miss Masters won the first prize and Miss M. Lyons the consolation prize * * * Miss Houle, Broadv'ay North, gave in afternoon tea party on Tuesday. She received her guests in a becom '.ng cinnamon silk marocain. A most successful and enjoyable dance wa* held on Wednesday night In the Ngaire Hall, under the auspices of the ‘‘Factory Stac.” The funds collected were given to the school for the purchase of a wireless set. The members of the stac and the ladies committee were responsible for the gay decorations in the hall, which looked very festive with cerise streamers, held by a diamond shaped frame in the centre, and greenery. A very dainty supper was supplied by the Utdies of the committee. The M.C.’s. were Messrs H. Horne and M. Wisnewskl. The following were' the p rsonnel of the ladies' committee: Mesdames F.
