Fairly heavy supplies of all varieties of apples and pears are arriving, choice lines "meeting"" with a fair reception. Continuous shipping is recommended. Prices are:-— Apples: Delicious choice, well graded 10s to 12s, others 8s to 9s; Cox's Orange, choice well coloured to 6s 6d, others 4a 6d to 5s 6d > according to sample; Jonathan, well coloured best sizes 6s to 7s, others 5s 6d to 6s; best cookers, 5s 9d to 6s 6d, others 4s 6d to ss, according to variety, all per bushel.
Pears: Choice W.8.C., few offering, 8s 6d to 10s, others 7s to 8s; Winter Cole, extra, choice 10s to 11s, others 7s to 9s; Marie Louise, 8s to 9s; Capiaumonts/ 6s to 7s I ordinary Bergamots, slow sale, 3s to 4s per bushel; Gans'eli, 8s to 9s; Beurre Bosc, 5s to 7s, according to size; Vicar, according to sample, 4s 6d to 5s 6d per bushel. Peaches: Choice dessert, 7s 6d to 8s 6d, others according to sample 6a io 7s per half-ease. Cape gooseberries 6s to 7s per halfcase.
Quinces 7s to 8s per bushel. Blackberries are wanted. Tomatoes: Hutt supplies fairly heavy, 2s 6d to 3s per half-case. Grapes: Choice large Hutt Is 3d to Is sd, others 8d to Is according to sample. Piemelons 8s to 10s; rock melons, 8s to 9s per banana case. Potatoes and vegetables are in good supply; poultry wanted.
