NIKAU'S PROLONGED TRIP.
The Nikau, which sailed at 7 o'clock on Wednesday evening, arrived at Wellington shortly after 2 p.m. yesterday, having been delayed by a heavy southerly gale, accompanied by heavy rain. In consequence of the severity of the gale, which is described as the worst experienced during the last two years, the Anchor Company instructed their Wellington agents to hold tfie Nikau, and! she will consequently miss one trip, resuming her ordinary running to-morrow, leaving Wellington for Nelson at 2 p.m.
