A strange incident was reported to the Wellington police.last week. On Wednesday afternoon Mrs Bennett, a resident of Brooklyn, was proceeding to her home when a little boy who alighted from a tramcay followed her. He was unable to give any information concerning himself, so Mrs Bennett gave him accommodation and reported the matter to the police. On Thursday morning ihe child was taken to the Central Police Station, but inquiries liave failed to discover who his parents are, nor have any inquiries been made at the police station concerning the boy, who is being cared for at a home for children.
