Christchurch, Feb. 20.

An inter-provincial cricket match, Canterbury v. Otago, commenced in Hagley Park this afternoon on a good wicket. The batting of Otago was disappointing, and they were all -out for 130—McFarlane 19, Gailand not out 34, Hutchison XO, Alloo 10, Barron 17. Reed took five wickets for 44 runs, McEwan two for 14, Watson one for 13, Reeso two for 12. When stumps were drawn Canterbury had lost three wickets for 63—Blunt 18, Worker 11, Hayes'ls, Brouahan not out 11.
