ISAACS—VAN STAVEREN.

The marriage took place at the Wellington _ Synagogue' on Tuesday afterneon of Miss iiosa Van Staveren, the seventh daughter of the ]Rev. H. and Mrs Van Staveren, of Wellington, and Mr Ronald Isaacs, only son of Mr and Mrs P. Isaacs, of Wellington-terrace. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr Van Staveren, assisted by the Rev. Mr Pitowski. The synagogue was charmingly decorated for the occasion with trails of lycopodium, also sweet peas, asters, and a wedding bell of white flowers. The briae's pretty gown was of shell pink georgette, draped over silver tissue, with silver embroideries on the corsage and skirt, while a silver girdle and clusters of tiny roses were u:;ed with charming effect. The veil was of tulle fastened with orange blossom, and the wedding "bouquet was of pink carnations and roses. The chief bridesmaid *ra.s Miss Rita Isaacs, who wove pale blue colienne finely embroidered in blue and black beads, made with tiny frills of silk, bead edged. A picture hat of black was worn, embroidered in blue, and she carried a bouquet of pink anH blue flowers to rnafceh. Little Zara Manoy (Motueka) was in cream net over pale pink, with a wreath of pink flowers, and carried a crook tied with flowers. The "best man was Mr I. Van Staveren, and the groomsmen Mr B. Manoy and Mr B. -»v Stareron. The canopy under which the wedding ceremony took place was supported by three little nephews' of the bride, Frank, Phil, and Ted' Manoy. The bridegroom's presen€ to the bride was a pearl necklace, and to the bridesmaid an aquamarine pendant,; and a heart-shaped pendant to the little ■ maid. The wedding reception was held in the schoolroom at the back of the! synagogue, which was transformed into a bower of beautiful flowers. The bride's travelling costume was a French blue cont and skirt, sir>d blue toque and an ermino stole. Among £he guests were Mr and Mrs Isaacs. Mrs Manoy, M?\s Israel. Mr Justice and Mrs Stringer, Hon. T. W. TTi«loT>, and many other friends and relatives.
