HAY WARD'S PICTURES.
HER GREAT CHAJNCE."
In "Her Great Chance," a Select feature starring Alice Urady and David Powell, those two popular and talented .stars appear in a novel and well-exe-cuted story that is an artistic and convincing achievement. 'x"he magnetism of Alice Brady's charm is apparent in this picture, as in the character of tho simple shop girl sho has no opportunity to dress lavishly. In the plainest of gowns she retains admiration jii'st as surely as she has done in her more luxurious productions. Her role calls for versatility and delicate handling, and she never for a moment lets tho interest flao-. David Powell gives worthy support as the millionaire's spendthrift son, and his characterisation of the part that repels as well as attracts leaves aotmng to be desired. The production is admiraWy presented, and the photography is much above the average. This feature, with good supports, will be shown I at the Empire to-night.
