ON THE OLD WEARY LINES.

Mr Nosworthy's speech at Ashhurton (says the "Lyttelton Times") was on the old weary' lines. If the Reformers are returned to office they will "revise the whole system of taxation." This is precisely what they solemnly undertook to do just before they reached the Treasury' benches, and that is the last that was hoard of the promise. We notice that this good new Reform .Minister is very indignant'at Sir Joseph Ward's intention to increase the graduated land tax. Practically all the "Reformers feel liko that about it, of course, but most of them manage to camouflage their ideas, more or less.
