SITUATION IN THE BALTIC STATES.

YUDENITCH AND BERNONDT.

DENIKEN ADVANCING VICTORI-

OUSLY

SOVIET RULE COLLAPSING

<Auetxalian and N.Z. Cable Association

London, Oct. 14

An official communique from the British military mission in the Baltic States reports that Yudenitch declared JBernondt a traitor to his country, and excluded him and his troops from the North-Western army. Yudenitch ordered the remainder of the officers and volunteers who were faithful to their duties to proceed to sea, and with the British mission's help rejoin the NorthWestern army. Deniken reports that he inflicted severe losses on the Bolsheviki in the Kamyshin district. He destroyed a regiment in the direction of Ilovinsk, taking many prisoners. He secured a great mass of prisoners and enormous booty at Chernigoff, where he rescued 200 hostages who had been condemned to be shot. The "Daily Telegraph's" Helsingfors "correspondent states that Soviet rule is about to collapse. The Red Army is dissolving, and the White Army's advance is the cause of large numbers racing to join tne Whites. It is anticipated that Deniken will reach Moscow within a month. His Horse Guards, like Mamontoff's, have broken the Red front, and are operating on the flank of the Soviet troops in the •environs of Briansk, in the Government of Orel. The whole working population of Soviet Russia, including peasants, has been ordered to undergo military training, but Trotzky's exhortation is unavailing. It is significant that Petrograd people fear a bombardment by British aircraft. A Berlin wireless says the Government has forbidden passenger traffic and transport of munitions to the Baltic States, allowing only military trains for the repatriation of troops to proceed.
