Entrkaii, a leading merchant and Deputj»-iuayor of Auckland, will stand for the seat as a Progressive Liberal. Assuming mat Mr. W. tl. Field will seek re-election, there will be live candidates for the Otaki seat. The lat^si, entries are: Mr. 0. J. Harkness, farmer, of Oliau, and secretary of the Kuku Dairy Company, who will be au Independent; Mr. j£. Macdonalu, fanner, of Te Horo, «ts a LihenuLabour; and Mr A. J. R. Isherwood, proprietor of the Railway Hotel, Otaki, in Liberal interest. Mr J. M'Kenzie, . Labour candidate, has already commenced his campaign. The Patea seat is to be contested bj Mr. W. Morrison (Liberal) and Mr. G. V. Pearee (Reform).
