(Received July 27, 5.5 p.m.) „, New York, July 24 The ''New York Herald's" Tokio correspondent states that the Japanese army budget proposes to spend 350 million yen for strengthening the fortifications. The programme provides for building activities over a period of fourteen years. It is also stated that the War Office has completed plans for an increase-of the number of army uidsions.
