London, July 25. The Premier has issued a statement that the Government's consultation with the miners resulted in an agreement on the basis of the Government's formula. In order to carry out the arrangement 4/ minutes has been fixed as the definite average reduction in working time in consequence of the introduction of a seven hours' day. The Federation announces that the agreement secures a 14.3 per cent increase where there is one hour's reduction m the working day, and a proportionate increase where there is a lessor reduction. The executive urges all districts fco I carry out the decision, and appeals to I those idle through the dispute to reI sume work. The Miners' Federation accepted the ! principle of the Government's formula and presented estimates showing how the formula would work out in different districts. The conference adjourned to allow the Government to check the estimates.
