GROWING POPULAR MOVEMENT
SOCIALISTS CLATMING RECOGNI-

A despatch from Tokio states that there is a growing popular movement in Japan demanding more comfort for wage workers and fewer privileges lor tKe rich. This movement is beginning to command serious attention in Government circles, as well as among representative Japanese in all spheres of life. The Japanese Socialists recently requested recognition of the Japanese Socialist party in a series of manifestoes forwarded to the Socialists in many countries. The Italian Socialist party responded granting such recognition.
