INDIGNATION MEETING AT

SYDNEY

IMMEDIATE REPATRIATION

DEMANDED.

(Received May 18, 5.5 p.m.) Sydney, May 17. A meeting of 113 stranded New Zealanders adopted a resolution to cable to Sir James Allen demanding the right to return immediately, and urging that the Manuka, sailing "on the 22nd inst., be allowed to take passengers. The meeting also decided to take action against the New Zealand Government for expenses incurred through their detention in Sydney. The chief contention of the speakers wps that the real cause of their detention was .not the extent of influenza in Australia, but the alleged inadequate quarantine accommodation at the various stations in New Zealand.
