TONNAGE FOR NEW ZEALAND.
ALLOCATION FOR THREE MONTHS

London, April 29. Mr Massey, while in London this week, interviewed the Shipping Controller regarding insulated tonnage for the New Zealand export trade.- .Following upon the interview, Sir Joseph Maclay now states that it is anticipated: that there will be available for loading in New Zealand during April, May, and June thirty vessels, representing a total space of about nine million cußlc feet. The proportions of allotment are as follows : April seven steamers of 1,800,000 cubic feet; May, eleven vessels, 3,000,000 feet; June, twelve and possibly thirteen vessels, with 4.000,000 feet of space. It must be understood, however that the allocation is provisional, as the movements of vessels are uncertain owing to strikes, quarantine,_ and other delays. The Premier also interviewed the First Lord of the Admiralty, the Colonial Secretary, and the President of the Board of Trade on naval questions, the I Pacific Islands, and commercial matters.
