Wellington, April 29. An elderly woman named Mrs Margaret Reid- was knocked down by a motor car in John street at 7 o'clock , last evening. She was admitted to the Hospital in an unconscious state, and did not recover consciousness, dying four 'hours later. The motor was driven by E. Williams, of Island Bay. , At the inquest on the boy Eric Shap- , cott, who died of injuries received by I . being knocked down on the Hutt road by a motor car driven by Dr. Leahy, ai , verdict of accidental death, with no [", blame attachable to the doctor, was re[i turned. "
