ASSAULT ADMITTED.

Arnold Fisher was charged on the information of Leonard Whiteside with having, on April 16th, assaulted informant by striking him in the face and breaking his false teeth. Informant stated that he did not desire to proceed with the case, defendant having apologised and paid for the cost of the teeth.

The Magistrate pointed out that the offence was an indictable one, and could not be withdrawn.

Defendant, who admitted the assault, said that he had mistaken informant for someone else.

The Magistrate said that was no ex-

euse. Defendant would be convicted and fined, 20s.
