ROVER CLUB.

■' , ' April 2nd. Ihe annual meeting of the Rover wf 1^ held in the Rechablte Hall, Wakeneld, on Saturday evening last. Mr 1 rank Coleman was voted to the chair, and remarked that it was now four years since there had been« an! annual meeting of the club. All knewj quite -well why this was. The members i had been playing the game in another sphere. Some had returned to Jielp m the resuscitation of the club j Others had played their last game. Alii had upheld the traditions'of the sport and done honour to the 'district as well as their manhood. ■ Mr George Wilkens endorsed the remarks of the chairman, and said that1 though not a player, he felt proud to' have the privilege of helping the club I along. Mr L. Arnold, a returned soldier, an old member of the club, said that all | who were playing at the outbreak of j the^war with the exception of one. member who was married, had served '■ with the colours. (Applause)." ) The chairman then asked the meet-i ing to stand in silence for a moment! as a mark of respect to the memory of I those who had fallen.
