RIVAL CLUB.

The annual meeting of ball Club was held over aJarg^ai^Mance;of;members;^- r ■'. Last year's report:showed:a very; sue* cessf ul season:v^.Tliersenioriteam made; two trips to Blenheim, arid althoughthey met with'defeat on both occasions they established: a^feeling pf igbod-fel-7 lowship* between the clubs* concerned.: The club was also successful in winning the Senior and Junior Cups; and; ;were runners-up in tlie Third-class Championship. ■ In connection with the;ltalianRed Cross Day seven-a-side tournamentthe senior seven were successful in winning, whilst the junior men were: run-; riers-up. A general meeting of the above club j was held in Opie's rooms last evening,; when Mr Baxter presided over a large attendance of members. The following new members- were elected: Messrs Baxter, S. King, H.I Graham, Wells, Rob, Housiaux, L. Me-' Conchie, Thomas, Wallace, and White, j It was resolved that Messrs E. Snow j and Baxter fill the two vacancies on'the Management Committee caused by resignations, Mr R. Ward was elected to fill the vacancy as Rugby Union delegate.
