The House of Commons read the second time the Labour Party's Women's Emancipation Bill, removing disabilities, including the bar to civil and judicial appointments, and admitting peeresso© to the House of Lords. , '
Dr. Addison said the Government were not opposed to the Bill, provided they were not committed to extension of the franchise this session.
