NEW INTERNAL CRISIS

GROWING ARROGANCE OF BOL-

SHEVISM,

THE STRIKE FEVER

lAuatralian and N.Z. Cable Association)

London, April 6. Indications are accumulating -that Germany is faced with a new internal crisis. The conditions in the western industrial districts are becoming more chaotic. Berlin is apprehensive of the, Bolshevist leaders, who are daringly outspoken and are agitating for a fresh general strike, having abandoned hope of a successful armed rebellion.

The Spartacusians seek to achieve' their aims by means of numerous local strikes. The number idle in Germany on Saturday was estimated at 220,000.

The situation in South Germany is most grave. The Bavarian Diet will meet on April Bth, and it is expected that on that day Soviet rule will be declared over the whole of Bavaria.

Thousands of pamphlets have been issued advocating Bolshevism. A general strike has been proclaimed, at Augsburg, where the Socialists, Communists, and Spartacusians have united as a Revolutionary Labour Party. The strike is intended to mark sympathy with the Russian and Hungarian Bolshevists. " There were great Spartacus demonstrations at Swinemunde.
