FRENCH OPINION AGAINST INDEFINITENESS.

London; April 9. The "Daily Telegraph's" Paris correspondent states that French opinion opposes leaving the total indemnity indefinite in the peace treaty, because the task of putting the French finances on a sound basis, which was utterly neglected during the war period, cannot be undertaken until the final figures are known. There has apparently been no progress in the Saar and Rhino questions during the past few days.
