EPIDEMIC SPREADING IN AUSTRALIA.
MORTALITY-AT SYDNEY AND MELBOURNE.
(Received April 13, 5.5 p.m.) Sydney, April 13. Influenza continues to increase its hold, both in the city and the country. There were 31 and 27 deaths respectively for the last two days in the city. At -Melbourne the disease retains a strong hold, though the death rate is lower than in the first visitation. At Adelaide there is a steady increase in the number of patients, and several deaths are reported. In Queensland up to Sunday the cases were confined to visiting vessels, but on Saturday a case was reported at Warwick.
