GENERAL STRIKE AT WURZBURG

Copenhagen, April 8. Advices from Munich state that the Bavarian Soviet Republic has been proclaimed. All the , Workers' Councils are declaring, and the entire population of/Bavaria is solidly united, and assuming all public power through the Soviet Council. °

It is declared that the people's commissaries will replace the former Ministers, and everything belongs to the community. AH Independent Socialism has been prohibited. Advices from Wurzburg state that Communist troops seized the telephone, telegraph and newspaper offices. A general strike has begun. All the factories and shops, excepting food shops, are closed. Regensburg has declared for Soviet republic. Advices from Stuttgart state that the general strike of Spartacusians has collapsed. The leaders of the rising have been arrested. The Government controls the situation,
