Cisborne, April 10.', There were enthusiastic sceneTTat Aroha to-day, when a public welcome was accorded Maori soldiers. , Addresses were delivered by the Bishop of Waiapu and the Hon. Mr Ngata. ' • Tribal welcomes followed the speeches Mr Ngata, Sir James Carroll, and Lady Carro/1 book part in the dances. j In the course af an address the Bishop of Waiapu suggested the re-erection of re Aute College as a memorial to the soldiers. .In the afternoon the troops came to Gisborne to assist in the unveiling of a granite monument at Wipere> and a religious service in Maori by Native clergy and addresses in Maori and eulogies to deceased soldiers were made by Sir James Carroll, Mr Ngata, and Chaplain Wamohu.
