VESSEL TO BE FUMIGATED

Chrisichurch, April 9. In connection with the suspected case of influenza on the Putiki at Lyttelton, the patient has been' removed to hospital. The forecastle of the vessel will be fumigated and the crew subjected to inhalation. If the vessel completes discharging she is expected to leave for Lyttelton to-night. Pending examination by the hospital pathologist it is uncertain if the patient is suffering from influenza, !but the case presents none of the symptoms of influenza in its pneumonic form. -
