EPIDEMIC SPREADING AT SYDNEY.
DISEASE VIRULENT IN VICTORIA
Sydney, April 9. Influenza in the metropolitan area is rapidly spreading in the country. Besides 255 deaths offieiallv reported, it is tsated that 75 have occurred since the outbreak outside the hospital.
In Victoria the disease is still virulent, 41 deaths and 441 fresh cases having- occurred during the past three days. The city hospitals are overcrowded, and there is a great shortage of nurses.
