During, the past week larger consignments of fruit have been landed to a dull market. Small quantities of stone fruits have come to hand, and the market for good lines shows an upward tendency. Tomatoes are now more plentiful and prices have been easier. Cape gooseberries are in good demand. We strongly advise regular consignments of all lines. The following are the ruling prices:— *" Apples: Cookers, large 5s to 5s 6d; dessert,, Jonathans 5s to 6s according to colour; Scarlet Pearnlain, 6s to 8sCox's Orange; 7s; Ribstone, 7s to Bs/ Peaches; Choice 5s 6d to 6s 3d pthers\4sjp 4s 6d per half -case. ' . Pears: W.8.C.; 9s to.lOs per case : Marie Louise, 9s to 10s; Fertility, 10s: Capiaumonts, 8s; Conference, 8s Nectarines, 7s to Bs. Cape Gooseberries, 6s 6d. per halfcase. .

Quinces, 6s to 7s per case. Potatoes 9s to 10s per cwt. Cucumbers 8s to 9s per banana case. 1 Lettuce 4s to 5s per case. Onions 9s per cwt; pickling onions 11 per lb.

Tomatoes: Choice Nelson 3s to 4s seconds 2s 6d. -

Lemons: Local 8s to 10s per case, American 36s per case. * Chillies 6s per half-case. Strawberries Is 9d per punnet. Egg fruit 7s to 8s per half-ease. Parsnips 5s per sack, pumpkins 7s to Bs, carrots 7s to S's, cauliflowers 10s, cabbages 7s per sack. Eggs: Fresh, crates 2s 4d," cases 2s 2d per dozen; limed Is lOd to 2s per dozen. .
