Wellington, Jipril 7.. Mr Pemberton (Acting-Government J Meteorologist) reports:—A small dis-! turbance in the South has accounted for \ strong north-west winds, especially in and southward-of Cook Strait. xtain has fallen in Westland and Otago, but elsewhere fair to cloudy .weather has prevailed. Present indications are forj moderate to strong north-west to southwest winds. Fair weather is probable northwards of NeV/ Plymouth and Napier, but unsettled conditions and scattered rainfall may be expected elsewhere. The barometer is unsteady..
