lambs again dropped in price from 2s to! 3s per head, there being very little com-1 petition for export owing to space in the I works, getting scarce. Store sheep! were easier by. Is 6d. to 2s per.head, the continued dry weather and scarcity of feed seriously affecting the position regarding stock hpth for the immediate future and for the coming winter. Store cattle were dull of sale. Fat pigs sold well, but weaners were not much in demand. • Store Shpep.—Best two-tooth ewes 27s to 27s 9d, other two-tooth ewes 21s to 26s sd; four, six and eight-tooth ewes 21s 7d to 29s Bd, good two-tooth wethers 24 s 9d to 275, four and six-tooth wethers 23s 9d to 265, good mixed sex lambs 15s 3d to 16s, medium 13s 6d to 14s Id, cull lambs, down to 5s Id, ewe lambs 19s. Fat Sheep.—Extra prime wethers, 42s 6d; prime wethers,- 30s to 35s 9d; lighter wethers 25s 6d to 29s 6d; extra prime ewes, 42s 9d; prime ewes, 27s 6d to 34s 6d; medium ewes, 23s 6d to 275; lighter ewes, 18s 9d to 235; merino ewes 10s 6d. Fat Lambs.—Extra prime, to 30s: prime, 24s 6d to 28s 6d; medium, 21s to 24s ; lighter, 15s 6d to 20s. Fat Cattle.—Extra prime steers, £23 15s; prime steers, £15 to £21; ordinary steers, £12 15s to £14 }0s; extra prime heifers, £15 2s 6d; prime heifers, £10 to -€14 10s; ordinary, heifers, £6 10s to £9 10s; extra prime cows, £15 2s 6d; prime cows, £11 to £13 2s 6d: ordinary cows, £7 to £10 10s.
