De Veulle was acquitted on the charge of manslaughter in connection with the death of hte actress Billie Carleton. The defence contended that there was no proof of death being due to cocaine, and alternatively there was no proof that De Veulle supplied itA further charge is pending of conspiracy in connection with the case.
