[Pek United Press Association.] Christchurch, April 4. Two of the stolen and forged National Bank one pound notes have been detected in Christehurch, ,and it is feared that systematic attempt is being made to put them into circulation. A bundle of unsigned notes was stolen from a vesr sel' in Wellington: on which they were consigned to the bank, but the thieves forged signatures on the nojtes and dated them "Ist January, 1918," and. no notes of that date have been issuedby the bank.
