RIFLE SHOOTING.
NELSON DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB.
On Saturday another of the championship series was fired over ranges 20J>, 500, and 600 yards, under favour able weather 'conditions. Rifleman Milroy, who topped the list, showed some of his old form by putting on a good 99, dropring only one point on the las€ two ranges, making a possible at 600 yards, and securing the leg-in for Mr W. Lock's trophy. The following are the scores:—
