The Government Jias decided not to introduce a moratorium, biyfc will legislate for properly distributing between lessor .and lessee and mortgagor and; mortgagee losses accrued in respect of ■premises closed by the Government proclamation. The Bill will provide for one-third of the losses to "be borne by the Government, the remaining loss being shared equally by the parties concerned. Dr. Gihbes, State Health Officer, was fined a shilling in an action by the Commonwealth for boarding a vessel .in iharbour while the quarantine signal was flying. The case arose out of the recent State quarantine restrictions.
