Mr Churchill, speaking in London, said: "We are recruiting a new army for two and three years' service at the rate of over a thousand daily. It is essential, in order to disarm Gfermany and secure the reparation which we are determined to get, to maintain a strong, welWisciplined ajiny cm the Rhine. There is no inti&ntion to send a large British force to Russia. If Russia is to be saved it must be by her own exertion."
