NATIONAL MUTUAL LIFE ASSOCIATION.

I Wellington, Jan. 2. j ! Mr.F. W. Nicholson; manager of. the National Mutual Life Association, has received the following cable message from Melbourne.:—The forty-ninth annual meeting was held oil December 31st. The chairman (Mr Andrew Navell) congratulated the members on the continued prosperity of the association. lhe new business for the year was nearly four and a half millions, a record for the association, being over a million more than last year. The total income shows an increase of £175,000 over last year, and now stands at £1,922,000. Inyments to members during the year amounted to.. £877,000, of which w;uchums amounted to £207,000, but notwithstanding this tho sum of £840 000 ;v; as added to. tho funds, the largest amount over added in one year._ Tho total funds of th> association are now close upon twelve millions, a record that members may well be proud of. 'The associate .has over two millions invested in winbonds.
