PROGRESS ON THE NORTHERN

FRONT.

Despatches from Archangel say that American troops captured the village of Thadish, on the northern Russian front, and ad\*ancod the lines two miles.

Allied troops advanced 14 miles along the road on the Onega river and captured more than twelve villages. They are still advancing.
