MR THOMAS INTERVIEWED.
LABOUR AS THE OFFICIAL OPPOSI-
TION
(Received Jan. 4, 1.25 a.m.) London, Dec. 31
Mr J. H. Thomas, interviewed, stated that he believed La r Dour Avonld assume the function and responsibility of the official Opposition. There was a tendency to talk of industrial action or strikes to make up for the failure at the ballot box, but it was Labour's clear duty to accept the electors' verdict. They might easily govern the next election.
