It is authoritatively stated that there is no prospect of an early armistice. Moreover, when the time is ripe an armistice will not be seriously considered without accompanying naval and military guarantees that Germany is not merely ready to sheathe the sword, but is absolutely powerless to resume hostilities. These -fundamental points represent the vievs of Britain and her Allies.
