Sir Douglas Haig, in an Army order, warns officers and men of the circulation of false rumours that peace is at hand, evidently with the object of discouraging the troops and diverting them from the great task of overthrowing the enemy.
Sir Douglas Haig urges the troops to realise that now more than ever it is1 necessary to concentrate their energies on the great goal all hope to reach, namely, the attainment in the near future of a decision and a happy result. .;...■'
