RIFLE SHOOTING.
NELSON DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB
On baturday the Nelson Defence RiHe Club held a competition for Mr A. Robinson's trophy over ranges 800 and 900 yards. Although the weather conditions were perfect, some of the marksmen had difficulty in finding the target, < this being the first shoot of the season over the long range. Rifleman Manssen shot consistently all through, and secured the leg-in for the -day, and thtisl won the trophy outright. The following are the scores:— j
