TROTTING ASSOCIATION.

At a meeting of the board of the New ."Zealand Trotting Association on Wednesday,' Mi- P. Selig, president, reported that in connection with racing .■atipendiary stewards supervising jfcrotting eronts at- racing clubs' meetings, the president of tho Waring Conference thought the stewards would expect an additional fee; therefore there would bo no saving of expense. The matter was- held over pending the receipt of further information from the Racing Conference Our Thorpe's mile record of 2min 6 2rssec was passed. In regard to colours, it was agreed that a change should be made, a different coloured cap not being regarded as sufficient distinction where tho jackets of two or more drivers wero of the same shade. i
